The client presented us with the footprint of significant scale within a world class equestrian estate. The challenge was to conceive an intimate residence within the austerity of a monumental concrete structure. Axis site lines played heavily into our disciplined approach to the design. Carving out negative spaces from the significant envelope provided a more human dimension and experience. Intersecting planes, rhythm + grids utilising bronze, stone + leather dissects the glazed spaces into a diffusive ambience.
